MANUSCRIPTS
should be submitted in quadruplicate to Prof. Girishwar Misra,

Manuscript length should normally be 15 to 20 double-spaced,
typewritten pages. They should be typed on one side of the
paper, double spaced, with ample margins. A cover sheet
shoild bear the title of the contribution,name(s) of the author(s)
and address where the work was carried out. The full postal
address of the author who will receive correspondence and
offprints should also be included. A second sheet should
again give the title of the piece (without the nme(s) of the
author(s),to facilitate 'blind' refereeing), together with an
abstract of 100-150 words. All pages should be numbered.
Footnotes to the text should be avoided wherever this is
reasonably possible. Bibliographic citations should follow the
current journal style. The American Psychological
Association's Publication Manual (4th Ed.) should be consulted
when preparing manuscripts. Manuscripts are submitted to
independent referees before acceptance.
COMPUTER
DISCS: Authors are encouraged to submit a3.5" HD/DD
computer disk to the editorial office. Please observe
the following criteria: (1) Send only hard copy when first
submitting your paper. (2) When your paper has been
refereed,revised if necessary,and accepted,send a disk containing
the final version with the final hard copy. If the disk cannot be
converted,the hard copy will be used. (3) Specify what software
are used,including which release,e.g. WordPerfect 6.0a. (4)
Specify what computer was used (IBM Compatible PC, Apple
Macintosh, etc.). (5) The article file should include all textual
material (text,reference,tables,figure captions,etc.) and separate
illustration files,if available. (6) The file should follow the
general instructions on style/arrangement and, in particular,the
reference style of this journal as given in the Instruction to
Contributors. (7) The file should be single-spaced and should use
the wrap-around end-of-theline feature, i.e.,returns ar the end of
paragraph only. Place two returns after every element such as
title,headings,paragraph,figure and table call-outs. (8) Keep a
back-up disk for reference and safety.
TABLES
AND FIGURES: Do not send glossy prints, photographs or
original artwork until acceptance. Copies of all tables and
figures should be included with each copy of the manuscript.
Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, original, camera-ready figures and any photographs must be submitted, unmounted and on gloassy paper. Photocopies, blue ink or pencil are not acceptable. Use black India ink, and type figure legends on a separate sheet. Write the article title and figure number lightly in pencil on the back of each.
PSYCHOLOGICAL STUDIES occasionally publishes SPECIAL ISSUES, depending upon current trends, and readership interest. Books that may be candidates for review in the journal should be sent to

PROOFS: Proofs for correction will be sent to first named author unless otherwise indicated. The author will receive page proofs for checking, but it is hoped to correct only typesetting errors. Proofs should be returned within two days.
Author(s) will receive 10 copies of the reprints free of cost. Additional copies of reprints can be ordered at extra cost. Requests for additional reprints should be made at the time of communication regarding final acceptance of the manuscript.
STATIONARY AND PRINTING CHARGES
A stationary charge of Rs. 50 must accompany each manuscript sent for consideration; a printing charge; a printing charge is to be remitted only after revision and final acceptance is communicated. Payments to be made by D/D payable on State Bank of India, Delhi University Branch.
