New membership shall be conferred on a psychologist by
invitation/nomination/application. Members of NAOP should have a Master’s
degree in Psychology or related disciplines and be involved in one
or more aspects related to teaching, research and practice. Students
of Psychology or related disciplines can become Associate Members
without voting rights. All members have to go through the
application process and will become a Member or Associate Member of
the Academy with the payment of the prescribed dues. A person
shall continue to be a member so long as the annual dues are
regularly paid. A person shall cease to be a member either by
default or by unanimous decision of the Working Committee.
Subject to other
provisions of the statutes, the persons who
become Associate Members or Members can keep their membership
on payment of the following membership contribution.
Membership includes the journal
"Psychological Studies".
For Members:
Annual: Rs. 750 /-
Five Years: Rs.
3500 /-
For Associate Members (Students):
Annual: Rs. 600 /-

Members
who have made distinguished contributions
(Teaching/Research/Applications) performed distinguished service to
Psychology shall be nominated to be Fellows of the Academy.
